Todd J. Manister
Todd J. Manister is a seasoned litigation and transactional attorney who focuses his practice on all types of complex commercial, business, employment, probate, real estate matters and matrimonial and family law. These matters include business disputes, including contract claims; disputes over employment agreements, and restrictive and non-compete covenants; corporate and partnership dissolutions; insurance claims; real estate claims; lease disputes; and commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters in which Mr. Manister represents both landlords and tenants. In addition, Todd has extensive experience in all phases of matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce actions, prenuptial agreements, child custody and support issues.
Todd currently represents condominium, cooperative and homeowners’ association boards, as both general and litigation counsel.
Representing clients in both New York federal and state courts at trial and appellate levels, he has successfully argued many appeals and has been counsel on numerous reported decisions.
Over the course of his diversified legal career, Todd has served as a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, acted as managing partner of O’Brien & Manister, P.C., a successful litigation and transactional practice on Long Island and most recently as the lead litigation partner of Ficara & Associates, P.C.
Todd has served on the Board of Trustees of the Village Lutheran Church/The Chapel School, the Bethpage Golf Club, and is the Vice President of the American Fern Society, New York Chapter.
In 1980 Mr. Manister earned his BA in Political Science from Syracuse University and, in 1983, he graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University.
Todd is admitted to practice in the State of New York, as well as the United States District Court, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court
