Ralph E. Preite is a corporate attorney concentrating in bankruptcy law, securities law and related litigation. Mr. Preite handles a wide range of corporate law matters including corporate restructurings (chapter 11 bankruptcy), corporate financings including lease and debt financings, private and public equity offerings, and alternative public offerings. With over 25 years’ experience, Mr. Preite has represented corporate and individual clients including private corporations, banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds and trustees. Mr Preite’s litigation experience spans state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts, and arbitrations. Mr. Preite has served as a registered lobbyist and has certain expertise in NY government relations matters.
Mr. Preite has appeared on television as a legal analyst on bankruptcy matters, including as a guest on Law Line with the late Honorable Dennis Milton, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, and on NBC’s Extra to comment on celebrity bankruptcy issues.
Mr. Preite has served on the Board of Trustees of the Epiphany School Foundation, Inc. chairing several committees, and is on the advisory board of The New York City Concours d'Elegance. He has also served in several court appointed positions. Mr. Preite served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Jerome Feller, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of New York.
Mr. Preite holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, where he served on its student council. Mr. Preite holds a Juris Doctor degree from the New York Law School, where he was an editor and member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Mr. Preite is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey.
