Dan is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department where he engages in securities and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, and before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition, his practice includes investor arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, broker-dealer compliance, and qualifying Associated Persons with various state and self-regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining SRFK, Dan was employed at a prominent New Jersey-based law firm in its Securities Group. There, he represented broker-dealers and registered representatives in securities litigation and securities arbitration, including customer initiated complaints with self-regulatory organizations such as FINRA.
Dan has also clerked on both the state and federal levels. More recently, Dan clerked for the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, U.S.B.J., in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to that, Dan clerked for the Honorable Maureen Sogluizzo, P.J.F.P. (retired), in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Prior to law school, Dan was employed within the financial sector. He is a formerly-licensed registered representative of FINRA and held positions with several financial services firms.
Dan earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School – Newark where he received the Allan Axelrod Prize for Excellence in Commercial Law and served as the Notes Editor for the Rutgers Law Record. While at Rutgers, Dan interned with FINRA in the Enforcement Division and the United States Department of Justice in the Antitrust Division. He earned his B.B.A. from Pace University with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Dan is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and State of New York.
